Microids proudly released Amerzone - The Explorer's Legacy, the remake of Benoît Sokal’s cult classic adventure game, on April 24. Now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the title invites players to step into the shoes of a fearless journalist on their very first immersive journey. A free demo is also available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, and progress made in the demo will seamlessly carry over to the full game.

To commemorate the occasion, Microids has unveiled the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition, which includes a special Media Book celebrating Benoît Sokal’s original artistic vision from 1999 and the renewed efforts of the Microids Studio Paris team in 2025 to bring the masterpiece back to life.

Driven by the regrets of a fallen explorer, the story follows a journalist determined to uncover the forgotten land of Amerzone. Throughout the journey, players must investigate the region’s mysterious past, unravel its hidden secrets, and discover the fate of the legendary Great White Birds, an endemic species central to the region’s mythology.
