After many years in development, Marslit Games, in partnership with publisher Neon Doctrine, released on August 21 its new action-adventure title, Altheia: The Wrath of Aferi, now available for PC. The game transports players to Atarassia, an ethereal spirit world threatened by the fury of its mad creator god, Aferi, and the corrupting Void spreading in his wake.

The story follows the young Guardian Lili and her partner, the Monk apprentice Sadi. Bound by destiny, the two become the only hope of facing the looming destruction. Gameplay revolves around the cooperation between Lili’s martial skills and Sadi’s magical shapeshifting abilities, encouraging players to explore strategies that only work when the duo fights together.

The dungeons recall the classics of the 2000s, drawing inspiration from legendary titles such as the Zelda series. Each temple and shrine is filled with both beauty and corruption, inviting players to solve mechanical puzzles, free imprisoned spirits, and battle creatures twisted by the Void.

Among the challenges, the confrontations against giant monsters stand out. These creatures inhabit areas devastated by corruption, and defeating them not only ensures survival but also restores purity to conquered regions, reinforcing the sense of progress throughout the journey.

The relationship between the protagonists grows stronger with each obstacle overcome. As the campaign unfolds, Lili and Sadi learn not only to combine their powers in complementary ways but also to understand the true meaning of being partners in a mission greater than themselves.

With its dark fantasy atmosphere and gameplay that blends combat, exploration, and puzzles, Marslit Games’ production stands as a tribute to classic adventures while also bringing freshness through its cooperative mechanics and story-driven approach.
