Three River Games has launched a major update for the demo of Airport Baggage Simulator on Steam. Version 0.2 expands the experience with new content, revised gameplay, and the first Twitch integration within an airport environment, reinforcing its chaotic simulation focused on efficiency and automation.
The experience puts players in control of conveyor belts, luggage organization, and the gradual optimization of the terminal. The objective is to make airport processes increasingly efficient by purchasing conveyor segments and machines through a tablet, allowing automated systems to eventually take over tasks such as luggage throwing modules and automatic scanning without direct player intervention.
Key additions include a new mission line, a revamped upgrade system, new decoration and customization options, and a complete user interface redesign. Gameplay logic has also been adjusted based on community feedback, while the Twitch integration allows viewers to receive their own luggage and interact directly through chat.
Progression is driven by promotions and new responsibilities within the terminal. Players can unlock licenses for different types of inspections, such as baggage weighing or the use of the Substance Sniffer, increasing earnings and adding more variety to daily operations. Each new responsibility requires careful planning of conveyor layouts and automation systems.
As the terminal expands, new objectives, baggage types, and upgrade opportunities become available, including improvements for the employee Horst, automatic gates, and additional storage access points. In Airport Baggage Simulator, the more responsibility players take on and the fewer mistakes they make, the higher their commission becomes, encouraging precise and strategic management.
